Latar Belakang

PT. Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk. atau SIDO memiliki ruang lingkup kegiatan usaha dalam perindustrian jamu dan farmasi, perdagangan, pengangkutan darat, jasa, dan pertanian. Usaha perindustrian meliputi usaha obat-obatan (farmasi), jamu dengan merek TolakAngin dan Kuku Bima, bahan jamu, kosmetika, minuman dan makanan yang berkaitan dengan kesehatan, serta alat-alat elektronik yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan. Usaha perdagangan, termasuk dagang impor, ekspor, interinsulair, keagenan, leverensir, grosir, pengadaan (supplier), dan distributor. Usaha pengangkutan darat meliputi ekspedisi dan pergudangan serta transportasi pengangkutan dalam rangka menjalankan usaha perindustrian dan perdagangan tersebut. Usaha pertanian meliputi konservasi tanaman obat dan satwa untuk dipergunakan sebagai obyek penelitian bahan-bahan jamu dan kosmetika. Perseroan memiliki 1 pabrik di Semarang, memproduksi 300 macam produk, memiliki 122 sub-distributor dan 161.556 grosir di Indonesia. Kapasitas produksi mencapai 3,8 miliar unit produksi/tahun dan di ekspor ke 17 negara.
